Blackstone Recruitment are working with a provider of high-quality, patient-centred mental health care who are looking to recruit an Adolescent Inpatient ED Consultant Psychiatrist for one of their sites in Roehampton.

Location: Roehampton
Salary:
£160,000 (Pro rata £96,000 - 3 days a week)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week.
Contract: Permanent

The role:

You will be a part of the Consultant Psychiatrist team, where your leadership will drive the mental health care provision in eating disorders.

You will also be part of the on-call rota, which includes providing emergency mental health assessments and treatment when required. The on-call frequency will be explained ahead of interview, ensuring you balance clinical duties with professional development.

Experience:
 

Successful candidate is likely to demonstrate the following:

  • Performing comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Leading ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and care reviews.
  • Overseeing clinical management of complex cases, particularly those involving risk or challenging behaviour.
  • Supporting patients and families through treatment decisions, relapse prevention, and recovery pathways.
  • Providing mentorship, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Driving quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and national standards.
  • Collaborating with site leadership to ensure efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction.
