Blackstone Recruitment is seeking a Pastoral Support Assistant to join SEN school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 7 to 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties.
This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, resilient, and passionate about helping students achieve their full potential.
Role Details:
- Location: Southwest Surrey / southwest of central London
- Employment type: Full time
- Hours Per Week: 32.5
- Salary: £24,000 pa
Key Duties:
- Collecting and analysing behaviour incidents
- Reporting and updating PBS plans, risk assessments, and missing person reports
- Coordinating pastoral support and delivering individual student care
- Liaising with staff, students, and families regarding behaviour and pastoral issues
- Planning and organizing pastoral training for staff
Essential Candidate Criteria:
- Experience in SEN or a psychology degree is beneficial but not essential. They are offer full training and a supportive working environment where you can thrive.
- Candidate needs to drive.
- All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service and at least 2 references which cover the last 3 years; for all services we will request references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults
