Blackstone Recruitment are working with a provider of education supporting a number of vulnerable young children aged 7-18 years with special education needs who are recruiting for a SEN Teacher for one of their schools in Bedfordshire.

Location: Bedfordshire
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £25,714 to £40,240 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications) with an additional £3k allowance for applicants who hold QTS and accept leadership responsibilities
The role:
They’re currently looking to recruit a SEN Teacher to join their team.
Experience:
Successful candidate is likely to demonstrate the following:
- PGCE/QTS (preferred)
- Experience in supporting young people who have special educational needs
- The ability to deliver maths/English/science lessons
- Proven experience in providing physical education
- Proven experience in working with young people that challenge
- Sound curriculum knowledge
- A committed, conscientious and passionate approach
- Dedication to support inclusion
- The ability to plan, evaluate and monitor learning and progress
- The ability to differentiate all aspects of learning to promote inclusion and attainment
- The ability to build good relationships with young people and staff members
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and use time effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A positive attitude to hard work and challenging situations
- A good sense of humour
