Blackstone Recruitment is excited to announce openings for qualified SEN Teaching Assistants in Surrey and the surrounding areas. These are permanent positions offering a great opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Role Details:
- Location: Surrey
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week; flexibility is essential, with one day per week requiring work until 5pm for staff training and meetings. (Term time only)
- Salary: £21,995.67 - £23,514.45 (dependent on experience and qualifications) + Welcome bonus
Key Duties:
- To establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils in order to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the School.
- To promote and encourage independence and personal development
- Support the Class Teacher in all areas of the day to day running of the class
- To respond to the varying and changing needs of the school and adapt to any task presented to achieve the smooth running of the school. Some physical intervention may be needed upon occasion, full training on this will be provided.
- To promote pupils’ cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development and spiritual well-being.
Essential Candidate Criteria:
- GCSE Maths and English (minimum Grade 4 or equivalent) is essential.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
- Working in a special school environment is highly desirable.
- Team TEACH Training is desirable.
