Blackstone Recruitment is seeking a Speech & Language Therapist Lead to join SEN school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 7 to 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties.

The successful candidate will join multi-disciplinary team, which may suit someone experienced in a special needs environment or a newly qualified practitioner, who will have the opportunity to work closely with our therapists and other professionals, providing support to students.

Role Details:

  •  Location: Southwest Surrey / southwest of central London
  • Employment type: Full time
  • Hours Per Week: Various
  • Salary: Up to £60,000 dependent on experience (In line with NHS banding)

Key Duties:

  • You will receive and respond promptly to referrals undertaking initial assessments to establish the scope, level and nature of the individual young person's therapeutic and mental health needs.
  • You will lead and facilitate group and/or individual therapy sessions, short and long-term, ensuring interventions continue to meet the needs of the YP and are consistent with the provisions detailed in their therapy plan.
  • You will manage, monitor and review an assigned caseload, ensuring delivery within the agreed timescales.
