Job Title: Educational Psychologist

Salary:£550 - £600 per day outside of IR35

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Educational Psychologist to join our team in Manchester. The successful candidate will work with children, young people, families, and schools to support learning, emotional well-being, and development. You will provide psychological assessments, interventions, and strategic advice to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to identify learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored interventions to support children and young people.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation to teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, and multi-agency teams.
  • Deliver training and workshops on mental health and special educational needs (SEN).
  • Support the development of inclusive teaching strategies and school policies.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in educational psychology.

Requirements:

  • A Doctorate in Educational Psychology (or equivalent).
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working with children and young people in educational settings.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN, safeguarding, and psychological interventions.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within a local authority, school, or private practice.
  • Knowledge of neurodiversity, trauma-informed approaches, and inclusive education.
