Blackstone Recruitment are working with a Private organisation who is recruiting a Speech & Language Therapist to join their schools team in Guildford, Surrey.
This is a Locum role, ongoing contracts, with no end date.
Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivering speech and language assessments to clients, including identification of the speech/communication difficulty to inform the appropriate interventions.
- Observing and testing patients to assess specific difficulties and their impact.
- Planning and developing appropriate therapy programmes based on the individual patient needs in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Liaising with the team, school staff and parents/guardians.
- Managing a caseload while taking into account priority cases, waiting lists, successful outcomes, referral and discharge of service users.
Job Specifics
Rate: £40 - £55 per hour (OR paid per assessment/ Report)
Payment: Umbrella or Limited company - Inside of IR35
Working Hours: 37.5 hours
Contract Type: Locum
YOU WILL NEED:
- Relevant Speech & Language Therapy degree, approved by the HCPC and RCSLT.
- HCPC Registration
- Experience as a Speech & Language Therapist supporting children and/or adolescents
- Completed relevant competencies
- Strong organisational and communication skills
