Education Health & Care Plan Quality Co-ordinator/Administrator
Location: Dorset - Potential flexible working options
Salary:  £13.67 – £15.27 per hour (actual annual salary £24,425.56 - £27,284.44)
Hours: 40 hours a week, Term Time Only

The post holder will also work at the School where we support young people between the ages of 11 and 16 who have additional social, emotional and mental health needs.

The main purpose of the role:

As our EHCP Quality Co-ordinator/Administrator, you will ensure the Head of Education and Head of School are supported to undertake their roles effectively regarding procedures around transition into and out of school/college during pupils’/students’ time at school/college with regard to their individual EHCP. In addition, ensuring the Management Information System is updated and holds correct information on the pupils/students regarding their EHCP needs. 

 

Key duties:

  • Liaise and build effective relationships with relevant stakeholders both within and outside School, ensuring effective cross functional working and building strong networks
  • Be proactive, keeping abreast of the EHCP paperwork and taking steps to alleviate issues when identified
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive data as per requirement for School quality cycles, in liaison with key team members
  • To support the Heads of Education/School and colleagues in the identification of ‘at risk’ pupils
  • Ensure the College/School’s systems for recording, storing and accessing students’/pupils’ EHCPs is consistent and accessible for teachers
  • Ensure teachers/therapy specialist/care team have completed relevant work towards reviewing the students’/pupils’ and setting appropriate and meaningful EHCP objectives.
  • Ensure teachers/therapy specialist/care are reminded in good time, to complete the necessary reviews of progress and ensure they feel supported to complete the tasks required of them
  • Pro-actively ensure the Heads of School/Education/Therapy/Care are fully prepared for all external/internal meetings
